The Clarkson Valve is made in Reno, Nevada by Tyco Flow Control - Knife Gate Division.
The basic design employs two massive elastomeric sleeves for sealing;
- Valve Open, the sleeves come together and the gate is removed entirely from the flow
- Valve Closed, the sleeves seal on the gate providing leak free isolation
Models available include KGA, KGD and the KLB, a version accepted by WCB as a line blind Thurston Machine Inc has developed expertise in the application of these valves to specific and often challenging services including, potash, uranium, copper, zinc and confined space protection.
